Several Tufts websites, including Tufts University School of Medicine, use the Sitecore Content Management System, which is hosted by the Office of Information Technology.
OIT provides regular training sessions, one-on-one assistance as needed, and also online tutorials to support editors. The information found on this website will continually be updated to reflect new features that are added to Sitecore.
If you need additional assistance or to find out if you are eligible to become a website editor on behalf of your department, group or office, please contact OIT by sending email to firstname.lastname@example.org (TUSM), or email@example.com (Fletcher).
Sitecore Content Management
Sitecore is a company that builds the Sitecore Web Content Management software. This includes several platforms that bring together the management of web content, marketing and e-commerce. Tufts' decision to select Sitecore for the management of its portfolio of Web sites was in part based on ease of use by content editors.
End users at Tufts will be interested in some of the following features available to help accomplish their tasks:
- Easy to create and manage Web Content
- Browser-based user interface
- Structure, organize, and version content
- Separate content from presentation
- Separate “work in progress" from “live” content
