Amy Heading, 2013, Australia

Why I chose Fletcher: I chose Fletcher because I wanted more than a traditional Master of Laws degree. I wanted to deepen my understanding of international law within the context of international relations, politics, diplomacy, and world issues, and also study with people who have varied backgrounds, areas of expertise, and experiences. I wanted my studies to be meaningful in a practical way that can be applied to my future career, and Fletcher has allowed me to design both my course choices and Capstone Project to directly relate to my interests and expertise.

Diversity at Fletcher: I am constantly amazed at the expertise, knowledge, and experiences of my Fletcher classmates. The diversity is almost overwhelming. I’ve met students from the most far flung areas of the world, who have career profiles in the public, private, nonprofit, and everything in between. This diversity means that everyone is able to offer contributions that are not only considerate and thought provoking, but also very unique.
