Why I chose Fletcher: As a lawyer involved in international projects relating to natural resources in developing countries, I quickly understood that my legal knowledge would be worth nothing without a broad understanding of international affairs.  I soon realized that Fletcher is the best place to learn about all of these issues at the same time! The curriculum offers a multi-disciplinary approach on global issues, with classes in International Law, Geopolitics, Economics and International Relations that students can link together. Also, the Fletcher community is known to be a particularly smart, warm and strongly connected network all over the world. From my first contact with this community, I realized that it was genuinely true.

On the flexibility of the curriculum: The LLM program at Fletcher allows me to deepen my skills in International Contracts Law while learning about development and geopolitics.  For example, in class we partake in different negotiation simulations each week, and we have the opportunity to work on petroleum problems from a purely economic perspective simultaneously.  It is all so fascinating!
