South Korea has Strong Incentives to Buy US Drones: Prof. Sung-Yoon Lee

The United States may be giving South Korea a big tool in collecting intelligence from its adversary to the North.

The Obama administration has proposed selling Seoul four high-altitude drones known as the Global Hawk in a deal worth $1.2 billion. As part of the deal the U.S. would also provide training and logistical support.

Host Rob Sachs spoke with Sung-Yoon Lee, the Kim Koo Korea Foundation Assistant Professor of Korean Studies at the Fletcher School at Tufts University, to discuss the story.
