On the MIB: I was investigating various MBA programs, especially those offered in the Boston area when I come across the MIB program at The Fletcher School. As a lawyer trying to transition into the business world, I found that the traditional MBA curriculum, although much needed, was not entirely satisfactory in terms of the intellectual pursuit I had dreamed of. Typically, lawyers have a special interest in political sciences, foreign affairs and social sciences. I felt that in order to satisfy my interest in the humanities I should not settle for a standard MBA curriculum. The MIB curriculum seemed to be the perfect combination of the quantitative courses needed in any business-related position and the thematic courses I would have chosen in an ideal circumstance to enhance my knowledge of the world. In addition, I was drawn to the Fletcher School's excellent reputation, the small size of the school, and the diversity and internationalism of the school that makes me, as a foreigner, fit in the community.

On Fletcher’s Office of Career Services: The staff from the Office of Career Services are truly dedicated to helping students increase their employment prospects. Thus far, the career services staff has trained us on interview techniques and helped us develop an employment search action plan. Career Services has made available career field guides and specialized personnel for targeting specific sectors and types of employers. There are frequent career trips organized, and employers are invited on campus for career events. Overall, the career Services team is very personal, and the staff puts forth great efforts to ensure that we are matched with our target employers.
