On the MALD: I chose the MALD program because I love the flexibility that the curriculum allows. I can specialize in two fields and still find time to build skills that I find relevant, even if they don't fall under the umbrella of the areas in which I'm specializing. It's great that in a short, 2 year program, I still have time to broaden my knowledge with courses outside of my specialty and take advantage of all the amazing faculty and resources that are available at Fletcher across fields.

On the community: The diversity of the Fletcher community is a reflection of the wide variety offered in terms of coursework and fields of study. Our program draws students from around the world who have worked across countless fields. There is so much to learn in speaking with my fellow students, who span an array of ages, nationalities, professional backgrounds, and life experiences. Yet despite the vast diversity of the group and the range of opinions that are present, we all share a common set of values related to making the world a safer, better place. Plus, we have fun together outside of the school environment. This is what makes Fletcher so special and our network so strong.
