Sofia was born in Greece, but lived and grew up in different countries (South Africa, Germany and Spain). In 2007 after having graduated from high school in Spain and having received an entirely British education in her childhood and adolescence, she decided to return to her home country, Greece, and pursue her studies there. Sofia graduated from the legal department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2011, with a degree in Law. In 2012 she obtained a Masters Degree from the same university in Civil Law after having written a thesis on the “Civil Liability of Doctors’ for a Patient’s Loss of Chance to Recover”. She successfully completed 18 months of training as a trainee lawyer having worked in two law offices, and in June 2013 she passed the Greek Bar Exam obtaining a grade of 9,08/10 in the oral examination.
While still at university Sofia volunteered for the Greek NGO “To Hamogelo tou Paidiou” (“The Child’s Smile”) involved in the protection of socioeconomically underprivileged, abused, orphan and missing children, where she took care of children and actively participated in the organization’s fundraising bazaars.
She is interested in Public International Business and Trade Law and Environmental laws.
