Deborah Nutter
Senior Associate Dean, Professor of Practice

As Senior Associate Dean of The Fletcher School, Deborah Winslow Nutter is responsible for the school's new strategic initiatives and managing relations with its Board of Overseers and its Asian and European advisory groups. Dr. Nutter is founder and Director of GMAP where she teaches foreign policy leadership. She serves on the Dean's cabinet to advise on key strategic and administrative issues, as well as make budgetary recommendations for the school. Dean Nutter also serves as a special advisor to the Provost of Tufts University for its International Board of Overseers. Prior to Fletcher, she served as the primary architect of internationalization at Simmons College in Boston. As Professor and Chair of the Political Science and International Relations Department, she taught courses in international politics, security studies, international organization, American foreign policy, Soviet and Russian politics and foreign policy, and foreign policy leadership. She also taught at Bowdoin College.
Dr. Nutter holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Columbia University where she was an Honorary Presidential Fellow, a National Science Foundation Fellow, an International Studies Fellow, and a University International Fellow. She received her A.B. from Colby College, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and with Distinction in Government.

Cameron assists with all aspects of technology for the program: student and faculty support, the coordination of course creation on the platform, and the development of courseware. Cameron is currently a Communications major at Bridgewater State College.

As GMAP Admissions Assistant, Julia responds to all initial inquiries into the program. She also organizes advertising and marketing initiatives for GMAP, supporting the Assistant Director of Admissions and Marketing through the application review process. Additionally, Julia liaises with the Registrar’s Office on foreign language examinations for GMAP students, as well as visa issues for international students.

As Student Services Coordinator, Marni Powers works with the Associate Director to plan residencies on campus and abroad. She also assists with program academics by supporting students and collaborating with the GMAP faculty and technology staff to coordinate course materials. Marni is a graduate of Hamilton College where she majored in Art History and Communications.

As the Manager of Technology, GMAP and Executive Education, Nicole Sanderson is responsible for the online communications platform, courseware development, training, and other program technology needs. Nicole received her BA in History at Wellesley College, and her MA in Learning, Design and Technology at Stanford University.

As Associate Director, Mariana Stoyancheva is responsible for academic programs. She plans and oversees the residencies and counsels students on academic issues and concerns. She also coordinates with GMAP faculty on syllabi, materials and deadlines. Mariana graduated from Fletcher’s Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy Program in 2005, and holds a law degree from Sofia University Law School in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Adeline is a graduate from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and holds a Masters in International Affairs from the London School of Economics and Policy Science. |
