The Right of Return: The Inevitable Key to Peace

Tufts SJP is honored to welcome Dr. Salman Abu Sitta, one of the most prominent scholars and members of the Palestinian diaspora, to speak about the possibility of the Right of Return and its necessity in building a just and lasting peace in the Middle East.
Dr. Abu Sitta was born in Bir al-Saba (Beersheba) in 1938, but refugeed to Gaza during al-Nakba in 1948. Since then he has dedicated his life to documenting the expulsion of his people from their homeland. He served for 20 years as a member of the Palestinian National Council, founded the Palestine Land Society, and is the General Coordinator of "Al-Awda," The Palestinian Right of Return Coalition.
