    The International Communications Club presents "What Are We Doing Here?", a controversial documentary which explores why the foreign assistance and aid given to Africa over the last five decades has been largely ineffective and often harmful.

    Dr. Rizal Sukma, executive director of one of Southeast Asia’s best think tanks and named one of the world’s top thinkers by Foreign Policy Magazine, will shed light on how to promote democracy and human rights in the region.

    The Institute for Business in the Global Context Speaker Series presents Mr. Bashar Masri, Chairman of the Board of Massar International, a company dedicated to private sector development to serve as the path ("massar" in Arabic) leading to Palestinian economic development and growth.

    ICC, Global Women & Performing Arts Club Present: Acting Together on the World Stage, followed by a Q&A session with the film's creator, Cynthia Cohen

    Acting Together on the World Stage illustrates the creative ways that artistic performance can be utilized for social transformation. Professor Cynthia Cohen, one of the creators of the film, will speak about the intersection of the arts & peacebuilding, and will be available to answer questions.

    4th Annual WSSS Symposium - Feeding Ourselves Thirsty: The Future of Water and Food Production

    Agriculture accounts for 70 to 80 percent of water use worldwide. As the world's population grows, devastating floods and debilitating droughts threaten an already vulnerable food supply. This symposium will bring together students, academics, and professionals from the public, private, and academic sectors to explore the nexus between water and agriculture.

    Join Brian Ganson (F88), Senior Fellow with the Center for Emerging Market Enterprises, for a lunch discussion on business and development in conflict or post-conflict areas and to share his experience in the field. Mr. Ganson has trained diplomats, business executives, attorneys and civil society leaders at the Harvard School of Law. He currently serves on the global steering committee of the Company-Community Dialoge Facilitators Forum, housed at the Corporate Social Responsibility Institute of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. He is also a Member of the Global Agenda Council on Conflict Prevention of the World Economic Forum.
