Gary Shteyngart Discusses "ABSURDISTAN"

The Fletcher School was delighted to host best-selling author Gary Shteyngart for a discussion on his book, "Absurdistan." The discussion was moderated by Professor Michael Klein.







Gary Shteyngart was born in Leningrad. His novels include Absurdistan and Super Sad True Love Story, which won the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize; excerpts from both books were published in The New Yorker. His début novel, The Russian Debutante’s Handbook, won a Stephen Crane Award for First Fiction and a National Jewish Book Award for fiction. He published his first memoir, Little Failure, in early 2014.
