Fletcher's interdisciplinary curriculum and vibrant student body is best appreciated through personal experience. For those who are able to travel to the Boston area, we encourage you to take advantage of our on campus visit programming.
- Visit Events
The Fletcher School is pleased to offer special Visit Events for prospective applicants. These visits feature expanded programming, including an information session and tour, student panel discussion, and the opportunity to speak informally with current students during a lunch or reception. Programming lasts two to three hours, but visitors are encouraged to extend their stay and attend classes. Visit Events are available in a mid-day and evening schedule and in both a general and program-specific format.
For event specifics and to register, see:
An admissions interview is a valuable way for you to share information about yourself and to learn how The Fletcher School will meet your academic and professional goals. The evaluative interview is a recommended, but not a required, part of the admissions process. PhD applicants, in particular, are encouraged to schedule an interview. Interviews are conducted on-campus and should be completed at least one week before your application is submitted.
See interview details for more information.
- Information Sessions
Small group information sessions provide the opportunity to learn more about Fletcher directly from students and admissions staff. All sessions also include a brief tour.
Session schedules vary but are offered most frequently from September through December, on most Mondays at 12:30 PM and Thursdays at 4:00 PM. From January through July, Information Sessions are offered most Mondays at 12:30 PM. Please check the schedule and register to attend to ensure information session availability.
Consult the schedule and register to attend.
- Class Visits
We invite you to attend classes during your visit to Fletcher. You may review the current course schedule to learn which courses are being offered this semester. Advance registration is not required; we simply ask that you observe the following guidelines to ensure that your class visit is a positive experience for all:
- Arrive at the classroom a few minutes early and let the professor know you would like to attend the class.
- Plan to stay until the break or for the duration of the class.
- Act as an observer rather than a participant during the class, unless the professor specifically calls on you.
- Understand that professors might prefer not to include visitors in classes with exams, group presentations, or other times when having it may not be ideal to have a visitor present.
- Coffee with a Current Student
We invite you to learn more about Fletcher in an informal and relaxed setting, over coffee with a current student. This is a good opportunity to hear more about extracurriculars, classes, and the Fletcher student experience. Round out your visit with an information session and class visit for a full Fletcher experience. We offer coffee chats during the academic year by scheduling in advance.
To schedule a coffee with a current student, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information: name, preferred email, cell phone number (if available), and your preferred date(s) and time availability.
